2010 President, SDAR

Mark Marquez is Vice President of Weichert, Realtors® - Elite and has more than 12 years of experience in the real estate industry. In that time Mark has been a top producer, a broker/owner and a mentor with Century21 and now Weichert Realtors. He is a dedicated volunteer for the San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR) and currently serves as President and spokesperson for the Association. In the past, he has served as Vice-President for SDAR and as a Board of Directors member. In addition, he has served as a member of the Budget & Finance, Communications, Investment Management Trustees, Nominating, and Strategic Planning committees, to name a few. He also served on the 2007 Legal Task Force and the EVP Search Task Force in 2006-2007. In 2003, he helped found and chaired the newly formed Housing Opportunities Committee which encourages REALTORS® to assist with housing needs in the region. For the last several years, Marquez has represented SDAR as a Director for the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) where he has served on several committees including MLS and Regional Chair. He was been appointed as a Director for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the SDAR Ambassadors Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting homeownership.

Marquez has a bachelor’s degree in business information systems from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He currently resides with his wife Susana in the 4S Ranch/Santa Fe area, where they are very active in their community.
