After serving eight years as an Air Traffic Controller in the Navy, Karen graduated as valedictorian at Old Dominion University with a major in accounting and later completed her Master’s of Taxation, including earning her CPA license. As a CPA, Karen specialized in individual income tax returns working at the prestigious PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. In 2003, her husband’s naval career brought Karen to San Diego where she took on a sales position in the mortgage industry and received her Real Estate Broker license. With her background as an active duty military member, a tax accountant and a mortgage broker, Karen has an unbeatable combination of skills and knowledge to help military families achieve their dream of home ownership. In 2004, Karen founded Military Home Programs, Inc., a company which specializes in VA and CalVet loans. Karen resides in San Diego with her husband and daughter.
