Career Highlights
Jeff Culbertson is the Executive Vice President of the Southwest Region of NRT’s company-owned Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices, as well as President of the Greater Los Angeles, Orange County and Desert Resorts Companies.
A 32-year veteran of the real estate industry, Culbertson received his real estate license when he was just 19 and experienced immediate success in the sales arena, becoming the top-producing agent in his San Jose office within six months. Jeff and his wife, Jenifer, became partners in the highly successful Contempo Realty in 1987. They and their partners built the company to 16 offices and over 800 agents, utilizing on-going training programs, career guidance and a genuine concern for the success of their people. In 1997, the partnership sold the company to NRT. After the sale, Culbertson, a fourth-generation Sacramento area native, served as president of Century 21 Contempo Realty for one year before he decided to move back to the Sacramento area to be closer to his family.
Culbertson spent two years as Senior Vice President for Cendant Corporation, where he was responsible for franchise growth for Cendant’s three real estate brands – Coldwell Banker, ERA and Century 21 – in 19 Western states. During his tenure, Cendant’s Western Region increased sales in excess of 200 percent.
Although Culbertson achieved a successful track record quickly at Cendant, he missed general brokerage. In 2001 he returned to NRT as President and COO for the Sacramento/Tahoe region. Shortly thereafter he was asked to also oversee the Silicon Valley Region for NRT. Once again, he brought his belief of real estate basics to his company. Both his companies experienced significant growth as a result.
In September 2005, Culbertson was appointed Senior Vice President of NRT’s Southwest Region, overseeing Sacramento/Tahoe and Arizona; and in December of that year, his role was expanded to cover the Southern California region. In early 2011, he took on the additional role of President of both the Orange County/Desert Resorts Company and the Greater Los Angeles Company. As Executive Vice President, Culbertson currently has responsibility for offices and sales associates in Arizona, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. His role as President of the Greater Los Angeles, Orange County and Desert Resorts Companies also gives him the responsibility of the day to day operations of those companies.
